Hello and Welcome
My name is Katherine Rudge and this is the web site that was created for my second semester Wed Design II class. I graduated from Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School in 2010.
Family and firends are most important to me, and I love spending time with people that make me laugh and smile. Feel free to look around this site to learn more about myself and see some of my school work as well.
Below are some of my completed projects from my first two semesters in PDHT. Click on the icons below to view full size

We also spent two days doing consruction work for a man that was in charge of the maintence of fifty town house by myself. We put up dry wall and ceilings in two rooms, and painted six more. The final day there, we held a barbeque for everyone we met on the trip. |

In Brooklyn, we did similar works to the Mon Valley Trip. We spent three half days working at the Kids Club, which was held at a park in Brooklyn, where we were able to have huge games of soccer and football, as well as throw frisbres and blow bubbles with the children. The rest of our time was spent working at a soup kitchen, serving lunch to to less fortunate. This soup kitchen was held at a local church here we also helped prepare the church for services as well as work at a Salvation Army. |

For ten days we will be finishing up the construction at the Hossanan Sur school. We will be helping the local paint the school as well as working with students from grade two and eleven. We will be teaching english as well as supplying education material. We will be visiting the Treasure of God school for the handicap, where we will be teacher parents how to sew jeans for their children. We will also working working with the children on horseback, workin with therapeutic horses. Of all the trips I've been on, I am most excited for this one, as it will take be to a place I knew even thought I would visit. The culture of Nicaragua is very different from our own and will take me far out of my comfort zone and be an entirely new and exciting experience. |
