I am Christine Nicolas Geronimo. I was born on the 26th of June, 1988. Born on the
year of the dragon,
I am tough, vibrant and adventurous. I am a true-blooded Catholic and being raised in a conservative
culture, my parents Leonardo and Emilyn shaped me into a well-rounded individual as I am God-fearing
and has strong faith in Him. I am the third in the breed of four and is single. My sister Ivy, being the eldest (32),
works in an international telecommunications company in the Philippines and is very much single; my brother being
the second eldest, Leo (31), works as a team leader in a US owned restaurant which is also in the Philippines and like
my sister, he is single; and Christian, the youngest (22), is here in Canada, currently studying at John Abbott too
and is taking up Engineering Technologies. I love my family so much!!!
I was born and grew up on the tropical side of the world, where there's ample amount of heat
and sunlight. A place where paradise could be at the tip of your hands. Picturesque sceneries.
Crystal clear water from white sand beaches. Most exotic yet luscious food one could ever try in his
life. And the warmest people to be with. All my life I was used to being in a warm country where the
coldest could be at 15'C and in some parts, 10'C. The hottest could be at 42'C. Six months of not much
fair weather because of typhoon that comes once in a while, and six months of summer. I came here in
Canada with my father and younger brother last December of 2010 as my mom has been working and staying here
in Quebec for the past seven years now. It was winter time and snow merely killed the three of us
as we weren't expecting the frigid weather. As time goes, we eventually got used to it and learned
to enjoy what Canada has to offer us. Now, I can't wait to see and experience fall for the first time.
In the field of education on the other hand, I was not able to finish university as well as my brother
because we had to leave for Canada. I felt sad at first. We both did. But we did not regret anything
about it as we are seeing things now, clearly, that we are going to have a better life and future here.
I am now studying at John Abbott College, taking up a program that hopefully, would lead me to a high-paying
job in the future. I am a freelance model in the Philippines. I love arts, fashion and designs making this program definitely for me.
